See The Bad State of Roads In Epe, The Hometown of Former Lagos State Governor - Photos

It's that season where most Lagosians dread most, the rainy season. The rain has come upon us and either we like it or not, nature has to take its place especially when we are not yet fully prepared by making our roads, drainages, and walkways motorable and walkable, the state is awaiting disaster from rains.

Epe is an urban city in Lagos State, it is home to one of Lagos finest politicians, for example, the former Lagos State Gov., Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode comes from this place and same can be said of the new deputy governor of the state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat. As good as this may seem, the people are living in pains and agony in terms of roads and infrastructure.

In a recent trip embarked by the AutoReportNG crew recently on this road leading to the palace of Oba Animashaun Kamorudeen Ishola, Oba of Epe Land, it is shocking to note that the Ex-governor of Lagos state is from here and maybe fortunately enough, his house is just a stone throw from here. Base on our assessment, the roads are in bad shape and It may 'delight' you to know that the state Deputy Governor (Hamzat) is from this place. Whenever it falls, the place is flooded, it gets so bad that weeds have taken over the road that's meant to be used for cars.

One of the locals expressed her discomfort with the road, according to her, "This road is disturbing our market, and causing flood anytime it rains here (she might have thought our reporter is from the ministry).

This is an appeal to the Lagos State Government to look to the plight of these people, they are not asking for money, all they just need is a good road network to help convey their goods and services from one point to another.

These are some of the pictures we got for you.
