Check Out This First Ever Wooden Range Rover SUV Made In Kenya

In a world where there are endless possibilities to creativity and talents, Africans are gradually stepping up their game and creating a niche for themselves. While we are used to seeing cars made from steel, aluminum and other conventional materials, a Kenyan has decided to something different and unique, this time, he decided to  Range Rover Sport Utility Vehicle made from woods.

According to reports, the SUV was made in 2004 by a Kenyan. One thing that is worthy of note is that the body was well-knitted and constructed together which made it look neat, lovely and made it a beauty to behold. Both the interior and the exterior were made of wood but without a door.

It features a half-metallic chassis while the rest of the chassis is all polished Mahogany

The dashboard also features a wooden panel which juxtaposes beautifully with the white seats.

One thing worthy of note is that it is an open car and looks like a convertible Range Rover hewn from wood 100%.

The taillights are well protected by a mesh of wood while the spare wheel is stashed at the back in a beautiful wooden compartment.

It is a genius creation that is owned by a resident of Malindi.

Some Kenyan families reject Boeing's compensation for crash

Fifteen Kenyan families of people killed in a plane crash in Ethiopia in March have rejected a proposal by Boeing to compensate them, saying they will pursue their claims in court.

"So far our clients have rejected negotiations outside court," Lawyer Irungu Kangata said Friday.

Boeing faces dozens of lawsuits over the accidents. Relatives of passengers on a Lion Air Boeing 737 Max that crashed off the coast of Indonesia agreed to try to settle through mediation, but families of passengers killed in an Ethiopian Airlines crash are waiting until more is known about the accidents.

Boeing said Wednesday it will provide $100 million over several years to help families and communities affected by two crashes of its 737 Max plane that together killed 346 people.

Lady Escapes Death By Miracle As Truck Destroys Her Car Beyond Repairs - Photos

A lady escapes death by the whiskers in just a matter of minutes. This happens along Mombasa road in Kenya. According to reports, she wasn't in the vehicle at the time, she parked her car along the tarmac road and a truck.

Her car was damaged beyond control as the truck crushed the car almost to nothing.

The truck fell on the car when the lady stepped out to buy something from the mall... Imagine if she was still in the car!

A Kenyan Builds Africa First Flying Drone Taxi - Photos and Video

Africans are intelligent, creative and smart set of people who are doing great things all over the world. Such can said for this Kenyan who developed the first passenger drone in Africa.

Morris Mbetsa, a mostly self-taught inventor, and electrical engineer has built the first passenger drone in Africa. Inspired by companies like Uber and Volocopter, Morris set out to create this prototype to show the world that the people in Africa have the brain power to develop passenger drones, and ultimately to be the first nation in the world with flying taxis.

Morris explains how the different components of the drone, such as the electronic speed controllers (ESC), custom-made aluminum and steel motors, flight software, carbon propellers and batteries work together to create a passenger drone that can be flown autonomously, remotely or by manually with a joystick.

According to Morris, The drone we see in the video is not the final product but an open prototype that provides quick access to the various wires and components so that monitoring the operating temperatures and any troubleshooting of the hardware can be performed quickly and easily. When asked what he wants to achieve with this project, Morris responds by saying that he not only wants to show that the people in Africa have the brain power to take things to the next level but also that flying taxis make a lot of sense in a country like Kenya where the roads are notoriously bad and suffer from flooding. Morris envisions his passenger drone first to be used for tourist flights over and around Nairobi and later on possibly in search and rescue missions. Ultimately he would like to see his passenger drone being used like Uber with an app on your phone and at a price that makes the service available to the masses.
