#NigeriaDecides: EFCC Flies Drones In Benin To Curtail Vote Buying - Photos

It's election period in Nigeria and politicians are doing all they could to win and retain their seats. One of the many ways they entice voters is through vote-buying. The Economic Financial Commission, (EFCC) has deployed drones across the states to monitor and observe the election and most importantly, to curtail vote-buying in Nigeria. These EFCC drones were on surveillance in Benin City today.

A look at the EFCC drone shows that it is DJI Spark Selfie Drone, the drone goes for $399.

The DJI Spark is the smallest DJI drone featuring gesture controls and a 1080p camera focused on ease of use.

Spark is a mini-drone presented by DJI and uses its technologies to provide you with the ability to capture moments while on the go. No matter where you are, you can take a snapshot. The takeoff weight of the drone is 300 grams and is able to sit securely in the palm of your hand. Takeoff also occurs from the palm of your hand.

The DJI Spark specs in terms of speed are pretty good. The maximum ascent speed of the Spark is 9.8 feet per second and the same for the descent speed. You can expect your Spark to reach maximum speeds of 31 miles per hour without wind in the air. This specific drone provides a total of 16 minutes flight time and a max hover time of 15 minutes.

The optimum operational temperatures for the Spark are 32 degrees to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, which makes it a very applicable and useful drone. The maximum transmission distance is 100 meters in distance and 50 meters in height.
