Again, Residents Of Agric-Ishawo Cry To Lagos State Govt As Flood Takes Over Their Road
Again, we are back to the Agric-Ishawo road in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The residents of Agric/Isawo area, Ikorodu, Lagos State, have drawn the attention of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the bad state of the road.
In June 2019, the Lagos State Government ordered HITECH to work on the Isawo/Agric road after series of complaint about the bad state of the road, they really came but did a shoddy palliative job which even worsens the place the more.
Residents of this area have taken to the social media to cry for help especially now that it's raining, last week was worse as the water from the canal got the climax such that cars, buses and even Keke Napep can't move.
AutoReportNG spoke with some of the residents who confirmed that life has been hell in this axis, according to the respondents, Agric-Ishawo road used to be a good road until when the Lagos State Government decided to upgrade and repair it since then, living and doing business in this area has been a nightmare, its worse when it rains. Keke Napep charged us as high 300-500 naira just to navigate this road, every one of us has formed trekking committee because we can't afford the fees and we can't really blame the Keke Napep people because the road is bad.
We are using this medium to call on the Lagos State Government, ministry of works to please intervene and help people in Agric area, we learnt that even the local government chairman is helpless and looks up to the state government for urgent help.
