Craigslist seller wants 25 Bitcoins for McLaren 720S

Cryptocurrency has started to tickle the fancy of many people, particularly Bitcoin. This week alone, 1 Bitcoin has reached around $19,500. Analysts are predicting that at the end of 2018, this value could reach as high as $50,000, or even $60,000. Not surprising to learn that many people are now trying look for ways to own Bitcoins.

One such enterprising individual is doing something unique. He is selling his brand new McLaren in return for some Bitcoins.


According to a posting on Craigslist, the seller is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The model is a new McLaren 720S and was initially offered for 30 BTC before the seller lowered it to 25 BTC. The listing also made it clear that the seller would not be accepting cash and would accept “bitcoin ONLY.” As of this writing, 25 BTC would be just a little about $440,000.

Given that the McLaren 720S comes at a starting price valued at $284,475, this means the model being sold is priced way higher than the standard versions.

Based on the image included in the listing, the 720S has been finished in the signature Azores Orange. Features include heated and electric seats on the inside. It comes with a performance trim, a sports exhaust, and even a stealth pack. Fitted to it are the alloy 10-spoke wheels.

For those who are interested and are within the area, it would be a good idea to see the 720S in person before dishing out 25 BTC. In order to confirm such an appointment, the seller expects prospective buyers to transfer at least 0.00001 BTC, which is around $0.20.

Officially launched during the Geneva Motor Show held in March 2017, the McLaren 720S is the second model in the McLaren Super Series. As of May 2017, this model replaced the 650S. Utilizing a modified carbon chassis, the 720SA is both stiffer and lighter compared to the 650S.
