Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45LV 170 - A Special Breed
Toyota’s ‘FJ45LV’ is one of the rarest ‘land cruisers’ ever made, with only 5000 vehicles produced in total, with 1000 left-hand drive units imported to the U.S. when the FJ company team first heard about this vehicle, it was cautiously optimistic, but after seeing the equipment, it was pleasantly surprised. although fairly rusted, this ‘land cruiser’ had almost all of its original parts, including its original motor, and transmission.
The cruiser was given a fresh nut and bolt restoration and included a treasure trove of parts — which were carefully boxed, and sealed and labeled. They also added a striking ‘capri’ blue + white paint combination, with a fresh gray and soft blue interior. This particular collector vehicle won the ‘family favorites’ category of California’s carmel-by-the-sea concours on the avenue in August 2016.
